The cost of owning a Motor Home

Boy are these things expensive! As I said earlier we wanted to get all the maintenance done before we traveled to Alaska. On the way from Bakersfield to Sacramento we stopped at SpeedCo to have the engine oil change and chassis lube done, cost $191.99. At Monaco in Coburg, OR we had new shocks installed, previously bought 8 new Bilstines from eshock.com for $629.00, had new gasket installed around slide and looked for air leak cost $700.00. Then it was on to Cummings Northwest for 1000 hour generator maintenance and 75,000 mile transmission service cost $1,700. Ouch but this is nothing compared to the $3,000 we are going to have to spend on new tires before next summer. Oh well we love the traveling and seeing the country and this is the cost of having fun and you can't take it with you.  Now on to Alaska!!!
